Presentation Design
An effective presentation informs, but a compelling presentation inspires and nudges viewers to imagine new possibilities…
My passion and skills in Information and Visual Design help me organize complex information to create presentations that inform
And my fascination with Human-Centered Design gives me insight to create cinematic presentations with motion that engage and tell a more compelling story.
Presentation Objective:
New Product Introduction Presented Live at Industry Trade Shows and on the Company Website
Design Tools: After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator
Rackable Systems
Problem: Rackable System’s CMO approached me to help them create a presentation to showcase their new cooling technology for their 360˚ Rack Server for Data Centers. This presentation needs to run in a loop in their booth at trade shows and shown on their website.
Solution: I created an animation concept to highlight the two key technologies that can be played in video format running in a loop.
1). A server rack that can turn 360˚. I asked their marketing team to photograph the rack with images taken from 360˚ degrees, which I composited in AfterEffects to make it appear as if it is “turning” 360˚.
2). The second key concept is to show how the new Cooling Technology works, with cold air coming in from the front and back of the rack that pushes out the hot air into a “central chimney” that allows the hot air to exit through the top.

Presentation Objective:
Project Presentation that also Functions as Status Tracker
Design Tool: Keynote
Special Project to test Pre-Released Hardware
Sample slides from actual presentation that was rolled up to SVP for approval.
Presentation Design Challenge: As the DRI, I needed to create a Presentation Design that showcases the status of all tasks for this special project including role, person, and responsibilities. The testing of the Hardware involves traveling to another location with highly confidential products. The Presentation also needed to show the logistics and readiness of special project.
Solution: I used Keynote to create a Presentation that doubles as a Project Planner to keep track of status for the many different tasks in this Hardware Test Plan. I used tables to keep track of Roles, People and Responsibilities. The use of cell "colors” helps indicate the status of the task towards completion/deadline while text color indicates level of priority and TBDs that need to be resolved..

Presentation Objective:
Prospecting New Architectural Clients
Design Tool: Keynote
Hawley Peterson Snyder Presents their Architectural Design for
Center for Total Health in Washington, DC
Kaiser Permanente
Problem: Lead Architect asked if I can create a Presentation that will allow navigation so he can jump to different slides without going slide-to-slide in his existing PowerPoint deck when prospecting new clients.
Solution: I created a compelling Presentation using Keynote with Navigation buttons on the bottom of each slide to give him control of presentation “flow”. I embedded his video files and took apart his PowerPoint content to create a “Cinematic” motion that tells a more compelling story of the interactive essence of Kaiser Permanente’s Center for Total Health.

ONFood Inc.
(Early-stage Startup)
Problem: A new startup in Fitness Nutrition based in Los Angeles needed an eCommerce Web Solution to allow fitness-minded customers to purchase ONFood products directly from the website in 2008.
Solution: I created an animated Presentation using Keynote to create a “cool factor” for the Co-Founders to visualize the possibility of what their new eCommerce website could accomplish with front-end web design tied to backend system processing. I secured the project with this Presentation.
